And there's absolutely no food cooking smell, so your cubicle neighbors don't know you're cooking lunch. The container seals in all food cooking smells until you open up the crock, at which point, your co-workers will know you're enjoying your lunch. The directions state that the crock pot viturally works just like a normal sized crock pot so you would need to plug in the unit and start heating your food in the morning and by lunch time your food will be totally heated. It worked beautifully. It is light weight and has a holding capacity enough for one big lunch or you could possibly have two smaller lunches for sharing. I have a job where I am out of the office quite a bit so you don't know what place you will be from one week to the next. This is very nice for anyone who doesn't have access to a microwave (or doesn't like microwaved food). All that is needed is an outlet.
